She's voluptuously sexy, she's perfectly tanned and she's got brains on that pretty little head of hers - that's Brooke Burke, the pride of Entertainment (E!) channel who scored for the network a large male audience for the show Wild On! which she hosted from 1992 to 2002.
Born Brooke Lisa Burke on September 8, 1971 in Hartford, Connecticut, she was raised in Tucson, Arizona, where her warm smile, tanned complexion and womanly figure easily earned for her a spot among Tucson's local beauties. At the tender age of 14, she already won her first beauty pageant. This opened up an opportunity for her in front of the limelight. With the help of a casting agent, she made her screen debut at age 15, in the 1986 movie The Wraith. The part was a bit role, a roller-skating waitress but good enough for casting producers to notice her.
She signed up for Ford Models and was soon casted in a Coca Cola and Discover Card television ads. More offers came her way, but the smart beauty opted to take courses first in business advertising and broadcast journalism to equip her with a working knowledge of the showbiz industry.
Back from her studies in Santa Monica College and in UCLA, Brooke was immediately offered modeling contracts for luxury swimwear label Venus and the high-end lingerie brand Frederick's of Hollywood. In her 20s and very much at home with her near-perfect body, Brooke confidently modeled these products. However, it was the male market that responded more to her stunning curves and gorgeous face, and soon enough, everyone was talking about Brooke.
As the new "It" girl, E! Entertainment channel quickly saw a goldmine in Brooke. Perfectly timed as it was, the network's top-rating cosmopolitan adventure show Wild On! needed a replacement for host Jules Asner. Smart, witty, sexy, athletic and charming, Brooke was just the girl that would fit the hosting demand of the show. A deal was sealed with the new Wild On! Brooke also added fire to the circulation of top men's magazines like Playboy, FHM and Maxim's, where she posed as cover girl.
At the top of her popularity, Brooke fell in love with a doctor named Garth Fisher. In 2001, they tied the knot, breaking many men's hearts but giving Brooke the emotional security in the arms of her great love. They had two daughters, Neriah and Sierra Sky. Brooke tried to balance her domestic life and her ever demanding celebrity status. This took a toil on her marriage. In 2005, she and Garth separated.
After that, Brooke focused more on her acting career, landing guest roles in some of the most high-rating television shows at that time like That's Life, Rock Me, Las Vegas, It's All Relative and Monk. She also appeared in the films Knuckle Sandwich and The Hazing.
In the summer of 2005, Brooke co-hosted the successful CBS reality celebrity search Rock Star: INXS, followed by Rock Star: Super Nova. Both gigs displayed her hosting prowess once more.
Brooke is now married to actor David Charvet, with whom she had her third daughter, Heaven Rain Charvet.
