Hailed several times as the Most Beautiful Man in the World or The Sexiest Man Alive by various publications and media networks, William Bradley Pitt or simply Brad Pitt was a true-blue Midwestern American guy, born in Oklahoma in December 18, 1963 and grew up in Missouri. Who would have thought that the once awkward and lanky high schooler from Kickapoo High would emerged as the most sought-after actor, not to mention lover, among Hollywood's A listers. But it seems Brad and his family knew that acting was the path he's going to take. While attending University of Missouri where he majored in Journalism, Brad continued his high school acting flare by appearing in his Sigma Chi fraternity plays. A chance to venture into professional acting beckoned and he left college even though he's merely two credits away from graduating to move to California.
Brad's was a classic struggling-artist-before-fame-hit-the spot Hollywood story. In California, he supported himself by driving limos, delivering refrigerators and as a mascot for the restaurant El Pollo Loco. But with an irresistibly good looks and brains to boot, it did not took long before Brad clinched a recurring role in the TV soap opera Dallas, in 1987. A year later, Brad had his firm film appearance in the dramatic film The Dark Side of the Sun.
But Brad's breakout year proved to be 1991, when he took on the role of a cowboy hitchhiker in the critically-acclaimed Thelma and Louis starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis. Landmark feats came in 1994 when he appeared in Interview with the Vampire and Legends of the Fall where he was nominated for the Golden Globe. Strings of big movies, some of which gave Brad various acting awards soon followed – Seven, Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club Ocean's Eleven and its sequels, Spy Game, Troy and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, among others.
In 2005, Brad made Mr. And Mrs. Smith opposite Angelina Jolie, whom he eventually partnered with after his divorce with actress Jennifer Aniston. He and Angelina have three biological children – Shilo and twins Knox and Vivienne; and three adopted children – Maddox, Paxton and Zahara.
