Eva Mendez

An American beauty with a Cuban lineage, it is no wonder that winsome Eva Mendes entered showbiz without so much as a hitch. Incidentally, Hitch was the romantic 2005 movie which she co-starred with Will Smith that propelled her to Hollywood stardom. In this film, she played gossip columnist Sarah Melas, Smith's love interest.

The 5'6” beauty can never be too far from her screen role. After all, she too is as intelligent as she is gorgeous. Eva showed early interest in becoming a film star. She took on acting lessons in college under acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. She eventually landed her first film appearance in the home video Children of the Corn V, and similar smaller roles later on. In 2001, she made her first major impact onscreen with a small yet powerful presence in the critically-acclaimed Training Day opposite Denzel Washington. Soon, Eva was recognized for her versatility, switching from drama to comedy with flare and passion.

2003 was definitely Eva's most memorable year to date. She became a Hollywood “It” girl with a substance as she was casted by top Hollywood directors in high-profile movies such as Once Upon A Time in Mexico, Out of Time, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Stuck on You. In 2005, she did an independent movie opposite Will Ferrell and Luke and Owen Wilson, The Wendell Baker Story.

Eva's beauty and intelligence led her to a totally different role – as a spokesperson for Revlon Cosmetics, where she actively support the global cosmetic company's advocacy in the fight against breast cancer.
