At 6 feet tall and gifted with an exotic Danish beauty, sexy celebrity Famke Janssen seemed born to become a model. And indeed, she became one in her native Netherlands, until she moved to New York for some acting courses at Columbia University while modeling for Chanel. She then moved to LA where the acting bug beckoned to her. She soon starred with Jeff Goldblum in the 1992 film Fathers & Sons, but it was not until 1995 when Famke really made a mark in the big screen when she joined the cast of James Bond’s Goldeneye.
From then on, it was an upward hill of Hollywood movies like the House on Haunted Hill in 1999) and Hide and Seek in 2005. She also landed a recurring role in Nip/Tuck. However, it was also at this time that her five-year marriage to Tod Williams ended in a divorce in 2000.
Famke’s biggest break proved to be her role as Jean Grey in the mega successful movie franchise X-Men. She reprised her sexy, super intelligent mutant role in all three installments: X-Men in 2000, X2 in 2003 and X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006.
In 2002, the sexy celebrity was ranked no. 69 in Stuff magazine's 102 Sexiest Women In The World. But there is certainly more to Famke than just beauty and great body. She speaks fluent Dutch, German, English, and French. In fact, she provides the Dutch-language narration at Disney Parks Studio Tram Tour.
For some reasons, Famke turned down some of the juiciest roles in Hollywood, such as the lead female role in Men in Black, Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. However, they did not affect her sexy celebrity status as she remains one of the sexiest and most beautiful Hollywood beauties around. Her celebrity idol was the equally stunning and talented Meryl Streep.
