An American beauty, softball player, a Master’s degree holder and a grade school teacher in Florida, one wonders at how Michelle Leigh McCool got into the world of professional wrestling.
Born in January 25, 1980, Michelle was also a personal fitness trainer, and this opened for her the world of women’s professional wrestling. Her first attempt at in-ring action was in 2004, when she joined the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Diva Search. She did not win the title, but went on to sign a three-year contract with WWE.
She made her debut in the program SmackDown! enticing attention with her storyline of a fan favorite with her own personal trainer. In March 2005, she embarked on her first SmackDown! wrestling match alongside The Big Show, where they defeated WWE divas Rene Dupree and Dawn Marie. Michelle became involved in storyline feuds with Dawn Marie and later on, with MNM and her manager Melina, ending in the program The Snapshot, after which Michelle transferred to the WWE business unit Deep South Wrestling (DSW), where she also hosted some shows.
Michelle came back to WWE in June 2006 with a “hot teacher’ storyline, embarking on several Bra and Panties matches for the program The Great American Bash. She also competed in the WWE Tag Team Championship with KC James and Idol Stevens. They did not win the title and Michelle took a second break from WWE to recuperate from injury.
Michelle returned for the third time in WWE in March 2007, competing in various tag team matches. Her victories include winning the Memorial Day Bikini Beach Battle Royal, the WWE SmackDown! Diva and the SmackDown! Dreams championships. These victories led her to be crowned the first WWE Divas Champion.
Today, Michelle is still active in WWE, providing excitement and cool to wrestling actions for millions of fans across the globe.
